His name is Thaynan Costa and his discipline is street skateboarding. This Red Bull feautred athlete lives in Portugal, but was originally born in Brazil in December 1994 – just weeks after the release of the INXS Greatest Hits album (1994 version). This video of Thaynan Costa skating the streets exhibiting his raw and mind-blowing talent came across our radar recently, as you might recognise the song in the clip featured this week on Thrasher Magazine. It still blows our mind that 27 years after recording New Sensation that a whole new generation are loving it. INXS Mini-Series Hits Latin America
After successful broadcasts in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, the INXS mini series Never Tear Us Apart premiered in Latin America last night. It will run for four weeks on satellite network DIRECTV and is expected to cause the same record-buying frenzy which followed screening in Australia and New Zealand. South America was a huge market for INXS, with Argentina and Brazil ranking among their biggest bases. They first toured South America in 1986 after the success ofListen Like Thieves, and returned seven more times playing in stadiums to 50,000 fans. INXS Mini-Series ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ Poised for Latin America Debut
The TV mini-series that catapulted INXS back to the summit in their homeland is about to air in Latin America, where the Australian rockers’ flame has burned impressively bright. “Never Tear Us Apart” begins its four-week primetime broadcast via satellite network DirecTV from Monday (Sept. 22). INXS Claim Top Spot On NZ Albums Chart
The success of the INXS mini-series in Australia has been mirrored in NZ over the past two weeks, where the band are now riding high on the local charts with The Very Best retrospective collection. INXS: Never Tear Us Apart has aired in New Zealand on the previous two Thursdays and the TV show has been accompanied by extensive promotion by bandmates Kirk Pengilly and Tim Farriss, who is also executive producer. The Very Best, originally released in 2011, has climbed to the top of the New Zealand albums chart and marks the band’s first New Zealand #1 album since the release of Kick in 1987, which itself has moved to a #11 chart placing this week.
