Have you ever wondered where the phrase “Shabooh Shoobah” comes from?

The term “Shabooh Shoobah” originated in the early stages of recording INXS smash hit “Spy Of Love”, a collaborative piece written by Michael Hutchence & Tim Farriss. As a part of the musical process Tim began to sing the phrase as a rhythmic chant while the band played. However, once the lyrics had been written the phrase stuck in the bands minds… eventually becoming the albums infamous title.

“Shabooh Shoobah” is a great example of INXS finding their own identity within the music industry and features numerous classic hits such as “The One Thing” and “Don’t Change”.
